You will work collaboratively with our Design Managers/Senior Design Managers supporting the team to drive quality outcomes, enhance buildability and foster innovation.As our Assistant Design Manager, you will: Work with the Design Manager to produce and manage the design programme and Information Required Schedule. Provide guidance to the Project team on design related issues. Coordinate project team comments and resolve any design related queries with the design team. Assist in the production of the Proposals, ensuring they are complete and unambiguous. Review all design deliverables, including specialist supplier elements and interfaces to establish that they are within budget are fully coordinated and are buildable.We are looking for a designer with knowledge of building methods and technologies, procurement, and risk management. You will have a basic understanding of contracts, contract documentation, planning techniques, management systems, life cycle cost and value.

You will be covering the London Borough of Haringey, delivering support to our residents on our social housing contracts.Key Accountabilities will include: Set up, undertake and manage the Tenant/Customer/Resident Liaison Service across multiple sites. Attend regular client representative and tenant meetings to ensure highest level of customer service is provided at all times. Ensure a consistent approach to customer care is adopted, Manage the Tenant’s Complaints procedures as a point of escalation. Maintain and update the on-site Database to reflect on-going works.You must have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.You will be an experienced RLO with proven track record of successfully managing the workload across planned maintenance programmes. As well as having a strong knowledge of internal and external programmes, you will be a strong communicator with excellent customer service and IT skills.

Here at Wates, we have a rewarding opportunity for a Section Manager/ Assistant Site Manager to join our planned maintenance team in the Wolverhampton area. This role will involve working with our existing social housing providers so ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in this field. You will provide a supervisory role to a team of maintenance operatives and key responsibilities will include: Ensuring works are programmed and delivered in line with legal requirements and KPI targets Attend pre- and post-inspection works and advise on appropriate action and job requirements, and assist with design solutions Make sure that all operatives and sub-contractors in the team adhere to Company rules and regulations Provide on-going support, feedback and development to the team Build and maintain good working relationships with client representatives and attend client meetings, when required Deal and respond effectively to variation requests highlighted by the Client and Subcontractors and keeping records for the company Produce reports on H&S, Programming and Labour attendances when required To be successful in the role you be an effective communicator, have good organisational skills and be able to lead a team to ensure all works are compliant and are managed in the most cost effective and timely way. Due to the nature of these works we are ideally looking for candidates with previous experience having been a Section Manager/ Assistant Site Manager and having worked in the social housing maintenance sector.

Wates have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Wates team within our Planned Works division. You will be working out of our Brent office on one of our contracts. The primary focus of this role will be to provide visible leadership and direction along with foresight and insight in the safe and profitable delivery of schemes to Wates. Key Accountabilities will include: Develop and implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress. Identify the quality expectations and embrace these in the Quality Plan. Implement all statutory regulatory and company requirements for managing Health and Safety. Secure and manage the appropriate resources to deliver the project / scheme effectively and efficiently in a professional manner to ensure successful delivery within project constraints. Ensure there is a successful and smooth handover of the project, including support to customer/ end user throughout the handover process. Establish a communications plan and agree accountabilities for team members. You must have a full UK driving licence.Ideally you will have experience of working for a main contractor on similar projects and have experience of elevational treatment, EWI decorative panelling & replacement windows.
