Wates is a member of the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP), the UK’s leading trade association for the passive fire protection sector, promoting excellence in the design and installation of fire protection.
We specialise in installing and maintaining passive and active fire protection products and systems with BM Trada in-house trained professionals and a highly skilled FIRAS supply chain for social housing customers across the UK.
The Fire Safety Act 2021 puts the structure, external walls and flat entrance doors within the scope of the Fire Safety Order and covered in Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs).
Following the introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022, new planning gateways, regulatory bodies, and changes to the Defective Premises Act have been created.
We are ideally placed to work with social landlords to ensure stringent checks are in place to drive improvements in building safety and performance standards to comply with the requirements of these Acts, including our extensive experience in carrying out fire risk assessments across the UK.
