Jon is responsible for our Needspace business that manages a portfolio of flexible workspace centres across London and the South East.

Steff Battle is the Executive Managing Director of Wates Construction, having been appointed in late 2023. A Wates veteran, Steff joined the company in 1995 and spent his first 18 years in regional roles, including five years as Regional Director. He later led the pre-construction function for Wates Construction Group, including SES Engineering Services, for over six years.

Joining Wates in 2023, Bradley uses his expertise to help grow the pipeline of work in the Southern region.

Gavin has been DfE Framework Director since March 2019 having previously been DfE Framework Manager for four years.

As Education Director Gary has overall accountability for our Schools Education Sector and leads our Central Education Team. He oversees the delivery of our DfE Frameworks, ensuring compliance, highest performance levels, and timely delivery of all schemes within budget.

Nicola is responsible for Business Development within our Northern Home Counties region, predominantly based in the East, covering Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties

Steve brings a wealth of experience to the role, with more than 35 years in the industry, and 28 years at Wates.

Amy Smith is Partnership Director for Wates Living Space and holds a degree in Building Construction and Management.

Steve was appointed Group Public Sector Director in July 2020 with responsibility for all public sector relationships within local and central Government.

Stephen is a member of the business unit’s land team which works to drive forward investment for new development opportunities.

Natalie’s responsibilities centre around ensuring that Wates Residential invests in the right projects and that our customers experience exceptional service from us when they purchase one of our new homes.

Steve is responsible for leading business development for construction in London at Wates.

Having worked in the built environment for over 18 years, Ben has extensive knowledge and experience across asset management which goes hand in hand with his passion for environment and social value impact.
