As Managing Director for Major Projects, Eddie has overall responsibility for securing and constructing the larger, more complex projects that Wates deliver across the UK.
The major projects are within both the private and public sector and range from large mixed-use schemes, to projects within the technology sector as well as key projects for the Ministry of Justice.
For the past 35 years, Eddie has dedicated his career to shaping the landscape of construction and his expertise has been within engineering and project management. The latter 15 years of Eddie’s career has seen him at the helm of various Tier 1 and Tier 2 Building and Civil Engineering Contractors in a Director capacity.
Eddie’s experience encompasses both the public and private sectors working with a number of Frameworks and Alliances, delivering large, complex and intricate schemes. Eddie’s significant breadth of experience has seen him working across diverse sectors including Residential, Education, Justice, Highways, Commercial, Hotels and Leisure as well as the Petrochem and Oil and Gas industries.
Eddie’s understanding of collaboration and nurturing talent, as well as his commitment to building teams, work winning and excellence in delivering for his customer’s is second to none.
Eddie is armed with an MSc in Property and Construction, as well as becoming a Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders, a recognition of his expertise and dedication to the field.
