I am passionate about creating a network of cross-discipline connections across the industry focused on developing a collabotative approach to knowledge share to explore solutions to customers and sector challenges.

This ensures we, as Wates and as a sector, are at the forefront of meeting the requirements of our customers, working alongside our supply chain, consultants and customers to push forward innovations and sustianable solutions.

I have had a varied career path towards Business Development, starting as a Production Trainee with Wates in 2008 where I compelted my rotational training programme on site helping to deliver the new young Offenders Prison at HMP Littlehey. After completing the training programme and a MSc in Project Management in the Built Environment and I took up the opportunity to join the Pre-Cosntruction Team within the Northern Home Counties business at Wates as an Assistant Proposals Manager to lead bids procured through the National Academies Framework.

In 2013 I moved to America, joining Gleeds, USA as a Project Controls Manager in their Atlanta office. This was my first experience working for a consultancy. I was seconded into a client team and responsible for building reporting on a programme for a multi million $ gas infrastructure pipeline installation. The experience taught me invaluable technical skills and experience in how to manage a high performing multi-disciplined team of consultants, while reporting directly in to the client on programme, cost and resources on a regular basis. These experiences have stayed with me, and form the basis of my ppassion for combining data analysis with conversations in developing an understanding of a situation.

After moving back to the UK with Gleeds, UK as a Project Manager I took up the opportunity to join a small family building contractor in the Oxford area. Working for a small company, delivering a diverse range of projects for a variety of customer types was an invaluable experience in construction.

I found my way back to Wates in 2019, joining the Business Development team. Since re-joining Wates, I have been responsible for developing the business into the Oxford region and establishing Wates as a leading contractor in the Science & Research sector across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc. I am proud to say that we are delivering for leading clients across the region, and developing strategies focused on creating sustainable solutions for preferred customers in partnership with our supply chain and consultants.
