Net zero carbon future

We are experts in zero carbon retrofitting for social housing, guiding our customers every step of the way. Through our net zero carbon retrofit service, Wates Retrofit, we’re working with housing providers to install energy saving measures to homes. This service helps to cut fuel poverty and reduce energy costs. 

We have completed retrofit enhancements at over 3,000 homes so far, supporting residents through these essential works, and driving sizable reductions in their fuel bills.

We have an opportunity for a Fleet Safety Manager to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division covering various contracts around London. The role will focus on fleet behaviours improve audit, review and action fleet KPIs, monitor van inspections, co-ordinate servicing, manage driver training and awareness and drive initiatives to address speeding.Key Accountabilities will include: Run Fleet Team operations on a day-to-day basis including dealing with queries and oversee the team. Prepare and deliver new Toolbox talks. Co-ordinate MOTs, servicing and maintenance. Promote and manage driver incentive schemes. Co-ordinate and support driver training. Conduct weekly checks and analysis of data from business systems. Support, develop and lead the implementation of a Fleet Strategy to address market drivers and business requirements to ensure best value for money. Be the primary contact for all employees, supporting them throughout the fleet lifecycle Effective supplier management to ensure vehicles are managed efficiently and effectively; utilising their expertise in supporting our strategy. Repairs Planner

Location: Walton-On-Thames

We have an opportunity for a Repairs Planner to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Walton On Thames office on one of our social housing contracts, delivering planning for our reactive maintenance appointments.Key Accountabilities will include: Schedule works into diaries for up to 20 operatives daily ensuring diaries are full and immediate attention is given to allocate work to operatives when they become free. Check the system for emergencies and manage within a timely manner to ensure targets are meet Respond to telephone variations by seeking approval from duty surveyor so operatives may continue on the site through to completion Provide a high quality service to our client on a face to face basis Working within a team to achieve goals and targets achieving daily targets of a minimum of 60 allocations each day of new ordersWe are looking for you to have relevant experience gained from working in a similar industry and environment.Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage. Resident Liaison Officer

Location: Skelmersdale

Here at Wates, we have an opportunity for a Resident Liaison Officer to join our Wates Living Space Responsive Maintenance Team. With offices in Skelmersdale you will ideally be living within commuting distance as this role will be office based. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm so you will need to be available at these times. The key focus for this role will be to liaise with tenants and the Client, to ensure that the complaint gets resolved as quickly as possible, To do this you will need to take full responsibility of the complaint from when receiving it to the end, this will involve booking works into diaries and making sure the works are carried out on the appointment date given to the tenant, also keeping tenants fully updated by phone or may require a site visit with the progress of works. Key Accountabilities will include:   Take full control of the complaint from receiving to the completion. Booking works that are part of the complaint into the Opp’s / contractor diary. Chase contractors for completions Liaise with Tenants and the Client. Attend Client meetings. Work alongside Contract manager to highlight any trends. Carry out site visit when required to discuss complaint with tenant. We are ideally looking for someone with a complaints/customer service background. Ideally construction/property services however this is not a must.
