Net zero carbon future

We are experts in zero carbon retrofitting for social housing, guiding our customers every step of the way. Through our net zero carbon retrofit service, Wates Retrofit, we’re working with housing providers to install energy saving measures to homes. This service helps to cut fuel poverty and reduce energy costs. 

We have completed retrofit enhancements at over 3,000 homes so far, supporting residents through these essential works, and driving sizable reductions in their fuel bills.

Site Surveyor

WPS are seeking an experienced Site Surveyor to join our team delivering planned works across multiple sites between Redditch and Milton Keynes. This role involves working closely with a social housing provider to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities Conduct site surveys and prepare accurate reports for planned works. Submit quotations based on Schedule of Rates (SOR) and analyse costs effectively. Ensure compliance with NHF SOR versions 6, 7 or 8. Engage with clients to maintain strong working relationships (preferred but not essential). Manage and mentor Assistant Quantity Surveyors (AQS) and trainees as required.Essential Skills & Experience 2–3 years’ experience at AQS and/or QS level. Proven experience with SOR and NHF versions 6, 7 or 8. Strong ability to submit quotations and analyse costs against SOR rates. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Resident Liaison Officer/Customer Complaints Officer

WPS are seeking a Resident Liaison Officer/Customer Complaints Officer to join our Responsive Maintenance Team in the West Lancashire area. With offices in Skelmersdale you will ideally be living within commuting distance as this role will be office based. The key focus for this role will be to liaise with tenants and the Client, to ensure that the complaint gets resolved as quickly as possible, To do this you will need to take full responsibility of the complaint from when receiving it to the end, this will involve booking works into diaries and making sure the works are carried out on the appointment date given to the tenant, also keeping tenants fully updated by phone or may require a site visit with the progress of works. Key Accountabilities will include:   Take full control of the complaint from receiving to the completion. Booking works that are part of the complaint into the Opp’s / contractor diary. Chase contractors for completions Liaise with Tenants and the Client. Attend Client meetings. Work alongside Contract manager to highlight any trends.
