Net zero carbon future
We are experts in zero carbon retrofitting for social housing, guiding our customers every step of the way. Through our net zero carbon retrofit service, Wates Retrofit, we’re working with housing providers to install energy saving measures to homes. This service helps to cut fuel poverty and reduce energy costs.
We have completed retrofit enhancements at over 3,000 homes so far, supporting residents through these essential works, and driving sizable reductions in their fuel bills.

You will play a key role in achieving first‑time fixes, maintaining high workmanship standards, and providing excellent customer service to residents.Key Responsibilities Carry out plastering works including patch repairs and full‑wall replastering. Undertake additional multi‑trade tasks where required, such as minor joinery, tiling, or decorating (in line with responsive maintenance needs). Work efficiently to complete all tasks to a high standard and within agreed timescales. Use a PDA/handheld device to receive jobs and submit work details. Liaise with supervisors and schedulers where follow‑on work is required. Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry and company Health & Safety standards.
