Following a successful period of internal refurbishments, Wates was asked by Settle to deliver its SHDF Wave 2 decarbonisation retrofit work.

This project was designed around a whole-house retrofit. In all, 210 homes were brought into scope, with funding secured through Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 1.

At the end of contract, following the blended funding retrofit activity, all 30 homes in the project achieved an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of A, far exceeding the Government’s EPC C target social housing.

In 2022, we were appointed to fit-out and refurbish 12 probation offices, as part of a nationwide programme of investment by the MoJ to modernise the estates being used by the Probation Service in England and Wales.

At Watford County and Family Court, our fit out team took a former CAT A office and completely remodelled its interior to become a brand new judicial development on behalf of His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS).
