Being progressive is a never-ending goal. We can never stop evolving, and this desire to ceaselessly improve never being content with the status quo must be part of our culture.
One of the ways we’ll know we are on the right track is when we have a workforce that is truly representative of society. I really want to see the company being at the forefront of diversity within our industry, as it’s a huge driver of innovation.
Im proud of the fact that Wates has a tradition of innovation for example, our use of system building for large housing structures in the 50s and 60s. We were doing that long before Modern Methods of Construction became the buzzword it is today.
