We deliver capital and property improvement works and responsive repairs to tenanted and void homes, empty home refurbishments and cyclical works to over half of the city’s stock.
We were appointed by Birmingham City Council in November 2015 to deliver its flagship responsive repairs and maintenance programme across the city. The contract went live in April 2016 and will run for an initial period of four years, with the potential to extend for a further four.
We are responsible for maintaining the largest area to be awarded to a single maintenance provider by the council. This includes approximately 12,664 properties in West Central Birmingham (Perry Barr and Ladywood districts) and 18,363 properties in East Birmingham (Hodge Hill, Yardley and Hall Green districts).
A full service offering
To support the delivery of housing improvement works and gas servicing across over 31,000 properties in Birmingham, we have deployed over 190 vans, managed by a taskforce of over 260 maintenance operatives.
The contract has been designed by Birmingham City Council to integrate its housing repairs and maintenance services. This will see our operatives carry out over 90,000 repairs each year, bringing back into full use approximately 2,300 vacant properties across the city. It is also expected to save approximately £13m over the initial four year contract period.
To date we have:

- Reduced complaints from 2%-0.2%
- Achieved 99.9% customer satisfaction
- Increased productivity by 1.5 jobs a day
- Interfaced 3 ICT systems with BCC
- Saved 8% BCCs budget to date through our Invest to Save programme
