The VacancyWates have excellent opportunity for a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team at the Discovery Communications in Chiswick, London, providing both planned and reactive maintenance to all relevant electrical equipment, controlling and operating of building operational systems, with a clear focus on Energy and the Environment and ensuring compliance to Health & Safety matters in relation to both direct and indirect scope of this role. ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking for you to have excellent communication and people management skills with a sound judgement and a focus on achieving high standards and quality assurance.To be successful in the role you will have a working knowledge of the Statutory Regulations and Codes of Practice applicable to the maintenance industry with IOSH Working Safely and a specific up to date qualification relating to the electrical trade.This role operates on a continental shift rota, and any offer subject to acquiring the relevant security checks.Some of the Shift Engineer’s Key Accountabilities will include:• Ensure that all relevant help desk calls (both planned and reactive) are fully completed with sufficient information and are passed back to the Supervisor in accordance with the defined timescales• Proactively monitor and improve the operation of building systems to ensure optimum performance with a clear focus on energy efficiency and continuous improvement.• First line response for all planned and reactive maintenance on all M&E plant including electrical systems included in pumps, motors, drives, AHU’s, LV switch gear, PLC’s, SCADA.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on an on a single site, however there will be requirements to conduct at some other site occasionally.Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage. It’d be amazing (but not essential) if you have previous experience of working on an FM Helpdesk in a busy environment because this is what you’ll be doing: •Delivering great customer service to our clients and contractors •Building outstanding working relationships with our clients, contractors and other functions within the business •Managing emails and phone calls •Dealing with enquiries from clients and contractors •Supporting clients and contractors with any queries •Assigning jobs to contractors within an agreed time frame •Chasing up jobs that have not been accepted/attended to •Managing and updating business-critical issues daily •Updating systems to ensure complete transparency •Ensuring that maintenance work is processed in a timely manner •Communicating with contractors daily, to minimise overdue work •Challenging unnecessary call-outs and response times •Working closely with site managers and engineers to ensure a one-team approach to management of maintenance issues •Operating and being measured against business KPIs •Demonstrating professionalism at all times This particular position will involve the raising and administration of a high volume of quoted works so if that is a process you are familiar with then please apply! Multi-Skilled Engineer

Multi Skilled Engineer – Fabric Wates have an opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Fabric Technician to join our client, based in London. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for you to have worked in a similar role as a Skilled Fabric Technician -with a good working knowledge of occupational health and safety, statutory regulations, and codes of practice applicable to the maintenance division. You will have worked in a similar role covering 24 hour sites and be familiar with corrective works and emergency lighting testing.To be successful in the role you will have a sound judgement with excellent people skills, always focusing on achieving high standards and quality assurance.
