- Sustainable urban extension employment opportunities alongside homes.
- Opportunities for business to grow.
- Dedicated employment zone delivering B1/B8 floorspace.
Wates, in partnership with Redrow, has secured planning permission for a sustainable urban extension in the southeast of Bicester.
The development will deliver 1,500 new homes alongside 7 hectares of employment land delivering approximately 1700 jobs in the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, exemplifying sustainable development where employment and new homes sit alongside each other. The site was promoted through the Local Plan gaining an allocation before submission of the planning application.
Bicester’s strategic location in the Oxford-Cambridge Arc exposes it to a number of high opportunity markets including knowledge based industries, low carbon industries and distribution and logistics.
Wretchwick Green is a testament to thoughtful collaboration, with Wates working closely with local stakeholders and the community to ensure the employment land meets the area’s evolving needs, supporting job creation and long-term economic growth.
The scheme will make a positive contribution to the local employment market, offering well-connected, future-ready space in a high-demand location.
“Bicester exemplifies our commitment to meaningful stakeholder engagement and careful masterplanning, ensuring employment land creates significant value and meets the area’s growing employment and market needs.”
