Carpenter

Here at Wates we have an opportunity for a Carpenter to join our WPS team within our Responsive Maintenance division. You will be covering works between Redditch, Birmingham and Coventry on one of our social housing contracts, delivering reactive maintenance to our residents.Due to the nature of this role we require you have a NVQ level 2 and a driving licenseKey Accountabilities will include: Undertaking repair/renewal works Advising Supervisor in a timely manner where other trades are required Working solely on certain tasks Working in partnership with other operatives to complete certain tasks Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken Working in a timely and productive manner to complete programme tasksTo be successful in the role you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multi task, work to tight deadlines, have high standard of workmanship, productivity levels and ability to provide excellent customer service at all times is essential.Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage. Finance Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Wates Property Services (South Planned Maintenance) team based in Finsbury Park reporting to the Financial Controller. This role will provide business support and data analysis while working with senior stakeholders within the SPM Team and the wider business.Key accountabilities will include: Maintain commercially-focussed financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis for the South Planned Maintenance business. Support the commercial and operational functions with training and financial insight to assist with strategic and short-term decision-making. We are looking for a CCAB qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with Post Qualification experience in industry. Excellent Excel skills are essential, knowledge of the COINs accounting system would be an advantage. The role will be based at Finsbury Park with regular travel to sites in the London area.To be successful in this role you will be proactive, have a self-motivating mind-set with a desire for continuous improvement, with the ability to influence at all levels, and be a clear communicator for/ to the SPM team and to the wider business. Here at Wates, we have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our Living Space Responsive Maintenance team based in the Coalville area.This particular role is a FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 12 MONTHS whereby you will be office-based so ideally you will be commutable to Coalville. As an administrator you will engage within the full administration process and provide on-going customer support for the team and tenants. Key Accountabilities will include: On-going management and development of multiple project trackers. Frequent contact with site management to ensure project trackers represent current job status. Create and maintain various data streams on in-house systems and databases. First line support for enquires and complaints. Overall administration duties as required by the contract. We are looking for an Administrator who is a confident communicator, computer literate with experience in Excel and trackers. Experience working in construction/facilities management/or maintenance is preferred but not essential. To be successful in this role you will be a team player who can manage their own workload, has a good attention to detail and most of all have a ‘can do’ attitude.
