You will work alongside skilled professionals, tackle meaningful challenges, and contribute to maintaining safe environments for everyone on site.Your ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all security compliance matters, working collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors to uphold rigorous security standards. Your duties will include: Security Vetting: Ensuring all subcontractors are properly vetted and fully compliant before accessing the site. Security Inductions: Designing and delivering clear, effective security inductions to align all site personnel with required protocols. Subcontractor Order Compliance: Reviewing all subcontractor orders to ensure they meet predefined security standards. Incident Management Support: Collaborating with the Construction Incident Manager to investigate and resolve security-related issues with professionalism. Commercial Manager

We have an opportunity for a Pre-Contract Commercial Manager to join our Wates team within our Planned Maintenance division covering various contracts. The successful candidate will provide a standard and consistent approach in regard to tender reviews, legal Terms & Conditions implementation, commercial strategy and tactics. Deliver golden thread between tender strategy and project procurement/ mobilisation to ensure all opportunities are maximised and risks mitigated.Key Accountabilities will include: Budget responsibility, commercial management and client commercial liaison for applicable contract(s) Manage and oversee Assistant / Quantity Surveyors in all line-manager duties. Manage Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process for your contract(s) to be review and signed off by RCM in accordance with CVR timetable. Lead commercially in the monthly Pre-Contract Review Meetings (CRM’s) with Operations Manager. Assist Senior Management in tender adjudication. Liaise with buying department to ensure that relevant material prices are procured.We are looking for a proactive and experienced Pre-Contract Commercial Manager who has worked in a similar maintenance industry.To be successful in this role you will have the ability to lead and develop a highly talented and motivated commercial team as well as build excellent relationships with other business functions, customers, consultants and the supply chain.Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage.
