Funding for the project was gained through Wave 1 of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), with works spread across 24 flats in five blocks. In line with SHDF Wave 1 and DBC’s decarbonisation strategy, a fabric first approach was taken with external wall insulation, loft insulation, windows, doors, ventilation and energy monitoring devices installed.

We worked collaboratively throughout the project with both the client and our PAS 2035 consultant partners. Energy Specifics provided retrofit assessments and coordination whilst retrofit designers, Constructive Thinking, used BIM modelling to establish whole-house retrofit plans to bring each property to EPC C.
