We pride ourselves on delivering solution-driven fit-outs for the retail sector.
Over the last two decades, we have facilitated over 5 million square feet of retail refurbishments for M&S.
During our latest project at M&S London Colney, the team worked in a live environment for the duration of the fit-out, working with the store team to minimise customer disruption though the programme.
We worked on this 24-week project, with a 24/7 programme to ensure the expanded Foodhall would be ready in time for peak trade.
The store’s Foodhall was relocated and expanded to double its original size to become one of the largest Foodhall in the M&S portfolio. The first-floor café was renewed to an all new digital format.
Enhancing the customer experience
Each element of the refurbished M&S London Colney store was carefully designed to create a unique shopping experience for customers. By doubling the size of the Foodhall, a wider range of services have been made available to customers, including a new pizza oven, a Mai Sushi counter and a ‘Fill Your Own’ station to reduce plastic use.
The London Colney store benefits from a digital café, allowing customers to order at the front of the café. The technology enhances the dining experience while delivering the M&S quality food and drink customers know and expect.
The project also saw the team relocate the opticians, add three sets of new fitting rooms and reconfigure the home, beauty and clothing sections to improve the aesthetic and enhance the store’s flow for customers.
Our commitment to social value
Promoting positive social, economic and environmental impact through our social enterprise engagement is really important to us, and at M&S London Colney we worked with social enterprise partner, Recycling Lives. During the M&S London Colney fit-out, £148,729 of total social, economic and environmental impact was generated, with a Social Return on Investment (SROI) valued at £12,897.
