Gareth Handley is Operations Director for Wates Construction’s work across the Parliamentary Estate, overseeing multiple projects including the fabric safety refurbishment of Victoria Tower.

He provides strategic leadership and delivery assurance on one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile heritage portfolios. With over 20 years’ construction experience, Gareth has progressed from a site management background to senior leadership. His hands-on expertise enables him to balance programme, quality and stakeholder priorities, ensuring delivery confidence across sensitive, live environments. During his time in the industry, Gareth has also led major education projects for the Department for Education in London and the South East. Known for his collaborative approach and strong client relationships, he champions open communication, risk management and consistency of delivery across all stages of a project.
