Chris Wright is Project Director for the refurbishment and renewal of Norman Shaw North, a significant project on the Parliamentary Estate.

He leads delivery on this Grade I Listed heritage scheme, overseeing complex restoration, structural renewal, and the installation of a new atrium roof to transform the building into a modern, efficient workspace for UK Parliament. Chris joined Wates as a Production Management Trainee in 2011 and has since advanced through site and project leadership roles on some of London’s most challenging schemes. His background combines hands-on technical understanding with strategic oversight, enabling him to balance heritage sensitivity, modern standards, and programme certainty. Known for his clear communication and collaborative leadership, Chris fosters high-performing teams built on trust and accountability. He takes pride in motivating people to deliver with energy, precision, and shared purpose across complex, live environments.
