A new build 5,950m² three-storey secondary school and 6th Form for 700 pupils built on a brownfield site in a residential area of Bolton. Observing principles of the Islamic faith, Tauheedul Schools require bespoke features including prayer and ablution rooms, large open plan classrooms, design to maximise natural light, outdoor educational teaching spaces including central courtyards with canopies and water features.

The project posed difficult ground conditions due to water levels on site, and various obstructions encountered within the ground. Our team used vibro piling, as opposed to insitu piles, which provided a quicker route to ground stabilisation to keep the programme on track.
