Offsite
Improving productivity, efficiency and quality.
Prism is our award-winning offsite manufacturing facility in Coventry. Here we realise the benefits of prefabrication, modularisation, offsite construction and integrated build solutions across a wide range of industry sectors.
Our offsite capability allows us to deliver projects faster, more safely and to a higher standard. As an integrated part of our business, Prism is key to delivering the offsite manufacturing strategy for all our Mechanical and electrical solutions.

MMC AND OUR NET ZERO JOURNEY
The benefits
Our investment in offsite manufacturing through our dedicated Prism facility in Coventry, demonstrates our long-term commitment to MMC.
Sustainability, energy performance and environmental impact are more important than ever as we seek to become a net zero organisation. MMC offers faster construction, predictable delivery timescales, fewer defects, consistent quality and less energy use and waste. It also helps with whole-life carbon reduction.
Technical solutions to complex challenges
Recent advances in manufacturing mean we can now prefabricate and preassemble 80% of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) products offsite, as well as building components.
Examples include
- Curved modular solutions for more challenging architectural buildings
- MEP multi-serviced low or high-level modules
- Packaged plantroom solutions
- Plant skids
- Prefabricated risers
- Service riser/utility cupboard solutions
Award winning MMC
Our work on the Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant in Cheshire, a project where MMC techniques as well as virtual reality were employed, was a recent recipient of the MMC Award at the Northwest Construction Awards.
The project was built entirely offsite, delivering a low carbon footprint and saving 19,000 working hours compared to more traditional construction methods. We also recruited local labour, through an offsite hub ten miles from the site.

MMC in housebuilding
MMC is being increasingly used in housebuilding, where offsite and modular manufacturing is maximising both material and human resources and dramatically reducing the duration of projects.
