Hayley supports the growth of Wates Commercial & Logistics’ commercial land portfolio, focusing on identifying and progressing opportunities for industrial and logistics development. Her work spans both greenfield and brownfield sites across the UK, with particular emphasis on the Southeast and the Midlands.

Hayley’s career is rooted in planning, having held roles in both the public and private sectors. She previously worked as a Planning Officer in local government before moving into consultancy, where she managed complex planning applications on challenging sites across London and the Southeast. Through this, she gained extensive experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams, shaping planning strategies and securing deliverable permissions for a wide range of development proposals.

Since joining Wates in 2024, Hayley has applied her planning expertise and strategic approach to help advance the commercial land pipeline. Her strong understanding of the planning system enables her to assess site potential, unlock development opportunities and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, viable schemes
