CEO Eoghan O’Lionaird discusses infrastructure investment on BBC’s Wake up to Money

They talked about anticipated changes in the regulation of the water industry, public-private funding of UK infrastructure and the state of the housing market, as well as pension reform and 24-hour trading on the London Stock Exchange.
A clip from one of Eoghan’s comments was also picked up and used later on the Today programme.
Eoghan talked about underinvestment in the water industry and the important role of private-public partnerships to fund future investment in UK infrastructure, as well as drive economic growth.
This item was in the context of the Independent Water Commission’s report, launched today, setting out 88 recommendations to the UK and Welsh governments to transform the sector.
On build-to-rent and housing, the programme discussed a fall in demand for rental properties, although demand for building BTR properties is still high. Eoghan talked about how government investment in housing will have a positive impact on delivering new homes.
He also represented the viewpoint of employers around business contribution into employee pensions, and took the opportunity to promote the built environment as a great industry for fulfilling career opportunities.
