Home News Celebrating three years of impact with Papyrus

Recently, colleagues from across our business came together to reflect on our partnership with Papyrus over the past three years, what we have achieved together and the difference it has made.

Over the past three years, this partnership has grown into something far greater than we first imagined. What began as a shared commitment to support Papyrus developed into a collective, business-wide effort – bringing together our teams, sites and communities around a cause that truly matters.

Together, we have raised £277,136 to support Papyrus in their vital work to prevent young suicide. This funding helps the charity continue to provide life-saving services, raise awareness, and support young people and those around them when it matters most.

Across the business, colleagues have stepped forward in many different ways – organising events, taking on personal challenges, and helping to raise awareness and start important conversations about mental health. From large-scale fundraising activities to everyday acts of support, these contributions have helped build a culture where people feel more able to talk openly and look out for one another.

Alongside fundraising, a central focus of our partnership has been to build understanding and confidence. Through training and awareness sessions delivered with Papyrus, we have supported more than 260 colleagues and community members to better recognise when someone may need help, feel more comfortable starting conversations about mental health, and know how to respond and signpost support appropriately.

This has helped to create a lasting ripple effect across our business and beyond – supporting more open conversations, challenging stigma, and contributing to safer, more supportive environments both within our business and in the communities we serve.

In an industry where mental health challenges can often go unspoken, this work is particularly important. Through our partnership with Papyrus, we are proud to have played a role in encouraging a more open and supportive culture, where people feel able to speak up and seek help.

While our formal partnership has now come to an end, its impact will continue. The knowledge, skills and awareness built over the past three years will remain part of how we support one another across our projects, workplaces and communities.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this partnership. Every event organised, challenge completed, conversation started, and act of support has made a meaningful difference.

Because this was never just about fundraising. It was about understanding, awareness and being there for one another when it matters most.
