Wellcome appointment of Wates supports genomics campus on journey to net zero
Wates has been appointed by the Wellcome Genome Campus to carry out Building Services maintenance and minor works to the buildings and infrastructure at the pioneering biodata and genomics research campus in Cambridge.
Under the five-year contract, which begins today (1 December), Wates will undertake a full range of hard FM services working with the Wellcome Genome Campus to improve service delivery, develop building, energy and carbon emissions optimisation and supporting the Campus’ journey to net zero.
The Wellcome Genome Campus is home to some of the world’s foremost institutes and organisations in genomics and computational biology, committed to delivering life-changing science with the reach, scale, and imagination to solve some of humanity’s greatest challenges.
Wates has pledged to create opportunities for training and employment in Cambridge, working in partnership with the Wellcome Genome Campus to support the local community.
