Fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join Wates with our finance team in Redditch/Midlands working within the Wates Property Services.This role will work with key stakeholders within the Finance Team, and Operations/Commercial teams, to provide support and data analysis across central responsive and planned maintenance contracts.We are looking for a motivated part qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA), with significant month end accounting experience in a similar industry capacity.This is an exciting role within a fast paced environment so strong analytical skills are essential. To be successful we require you to be proactive, have a self-motivating mind-set and desire for continuous improvement across the finance function. You will have the ability to impact at all levels, therefore it is essential you are a strong communicator (both verbal and written) with vast experience of Excel functions and their day to day use within the finance department (VLOOKUP's and pivot tables etc). Experience in contract management would be beneficial.Key accountabilities will include: Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts from underlying operational and commercial information Working in partnership with Operational and Commercial teams Responsibility of the balance sheet and escalation of issues to the Management Accountant as appropriate Assisting in fulfilling monthly and quarterly reporting requirements Assisting in producing accurate cash flow forecasts, monthly forecasts and annual budget Assisting in the reporting of cash management Assisting the Management Accountant in delivering value add accounting support Working under pressure and to tight deadlines Provision of adhoc financial analysis as required

Here at Wates have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Planned Maintenance team in the Birmingham area. As the project manager you will be working closely with one of our existing social housing providers, so it is imperative you are comfortable being hands on but also be great with people. The primary focus of this role will be to provide visible leadership and direction along with foresight and insight in the safe and profitable delivery of schemes to Wates. Key Accountabilities will include: Develop and implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress. Identify the quality expectations and embrace these in the Quality Plan. Implement all statutory regulatory and company requirements for managing Health and Safety. Secure and manage the appropriate resources to deliver the project / scheme effectively and efficiently in a professional manner to ensure successful delivery within project constraints. Ensure there is a successful and smooth handover of the project, including support to customer/ end user throughout the handover process. Establish a communications plan and agree accountabilities for team members. We are looking for a qualified, experienced and professional Project Manager from a property services/construction background who has experience of Façade Replacement. To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with a positive and engaging approach when supporting and educating the business.
