A career in the built environment: There's something for everyone. | Wates

Working in our construction industry is not just about bricks and mortar.

Did you know, there are a huge variety of different roles available in the built environment?  It’s not just about working on building sites. The construction industry needs people from all walks of life with a wide range of skills, from designers, lawyers, writers to project managers, accountants and surveyors, just to name a few.

During National Apprenticeship Week (3-9 February), we want to highlight the wide range of job opportunities available as part of a career in construction. Hear from some of our apprentices and trainees below who are helping to break down the common myths about apprenticeships in construction. They also offer their insight and tips on how you too can have a successful career; whether you are a school or college leaver, graduate (with or without a related construction degree) or are looking for a career change.
