Celebrating seven years of partnership in Havering
Havering Council and our Residential team recently celebrated seven years of working together to deliver one of London’s most ambitious regeneration programmes.
Since day one, the joint venture has focused on doubling the number of affordable homes in the borough, protecting residents’ right to return and making sure local voices shape every step of the journey. So far, we’ve delivered 197 affordable homes at New Green in Rainham and 175 high-quality apartments for over 55s at Park Rise.
But this partnership is about more than bricks and mortar. We’ve invested over £202,000 in local charities, supported nearly 5,000 apprenticeship training weeks and volunteered thousands of hours to community projects. This includes restoring St Mary and St Peter’s Church and supporting Rainham food bank.
And we’re not stopping there. Work is already underway at Chippenham Road, and the Waterloo Estate is set to bring even more. That includes affordable homes, green spaces and job opportunities for local people.
As we step into our eighth year, we’re proud of what’s been achieved and excited for what’s to come. Together, we’re building a brighter, more inclusive future for Havering.
