Identifying and implementing value-add initiatives and energy-saving solutions.What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in facilities management, ideally across multi-site portfolios. Strong technical background in Electrical, Mechanical, Gas or F-Gas disciplines. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. IOSH or NEBOSH certification and BIFM qualification (or equivalent) desirable. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality hard FM services in a customer-focused environment.As a Resident Engineer, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things technical—ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, responding to reactive maintenance needs, and supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules. You’ll work closely with our client and wider WPS team to uphold safety, compliance, and service excellence every day.What You’ll Be Doing: Carrying out hands-on maintenance and repairs across electrical, mechanical, and fabric systems. Supporting compliance and health & safety standards across the site. Responding to reactive issues promptly and professionally. Assisting with PPM tasks and ensuring accurate documentation. Collaborating with site teams and contractors to deliver seamless service. Identifying opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability improvements.What We’re Looking For: A strong technical background in a relevant trade (Electrical, Mechanical, Gas or F-Gas). Experience in facilities maintenance within a commercial or customer-facing environment. Good working knowledge of health & safety legislation. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Your focus will be on leadership, value creation, and delivering best-in-class building services.As our Building Services Manager, you will: Manage the engineering workforce delivering hard M&E services, compliance, and Operating Framework (OF) delivery. Support the planning and delivery of extra works and M&E/fabric-related projects. Monitor the M&E programme alignment with the Wates Residential construction schedule. Organise and lead M&E progress meetings; liaise with operational site teams and external stakeholders. Lead mobilisation of new buildings across a dynamic property portfolio, including due diligence, risk assessments, and dilapidation surveys. Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently applied across the region.We are looking for an experienced and driven professional with proven experience managing MEP projects valued at £15m or more. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate technical teams. Expertise in building services compliance and health & safety regulations.
