Fabric Technician (Handyman / Fabric Engineer)
📍 Chiswick, London (Client Site)
🕗 Monday – Friday ¦ 8:00am – 5:00pm
The Role
WPS are looking for a skilled Fabric Technician to join our team, based full-time at a client site in Chiswick, London. This is a static, site-based role providing high-quality building fabric and handyman services, ensuring the site is maintained to an excellent standard.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric works across the site, working closely with the facilities team and representing WPS professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general fabric maintenance and repairs, including:
- Painting & decorating
- Basic carpentry and joinery
- Minor plumbing repairs (e.g. taps, seals, toilets)
- Patch repairs to walls, floors and ceilings
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Identifying and reporting additional works required
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with H&S procedures
- Maintaining accurate records using site systems where required
About You
- Proven experience in a fabric, handyman or building maintenance role
- A relevant qualification or trade background (e.g. handyman, painting & decorating, carpentry or similar)
- Comfortable working independently in a client-facing environment
- Good knowledge of health & safety procedures
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work
- Reliable, well organised and takes pride in high-quality workmanship
