The Vacancy

WPS are seeking an experienced Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join our team on a 3-month fixed term contract supporting planned works across social housing properties in Hertfordshire, North and Central London.

🔧 Role Overview

As the Resident Liaison Officer, you will be the key point of contact between residents and the project team, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption during planned maintenance and improvement works. You’ll be responsible for building trust, resolving concerns, and supporting the smooth delivery of works in occupied homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main liaison between residents and contractors during planned works.
  • Provide timely updates and support to residents before, during, and after works.
  • Coordinate access arrangements and ensure residents are informed of schedules.
  • Handle complaints and queries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and project progress.

👤 Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Resident Liaison Officer in a social housing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of planned works processes and tenant engagement best practices.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.

  • Location: Site-based across Hertfordshire, North and Central London
