The Vacancy
Role Purpose
The Social Value Advisor will work closely with the Head of Social Value to support the delivery of Social Value activity. This role focuses on engagement with community organisations, supporting robust social value data reporting and achieving strategic targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and deliver Social Value activities in line with strategic objectives, including managing discrete projects such as volunteering and work experience.
· Collect and record data to support KPI monitoring, ensuring GDPR compliance.
· Gather evidence to demonstrate delivery of Social Value programmes and maintain accurate records.
· Develop content for social media and website, creating case studies to support regional communications plans.
· Identify and engage with community groups and associations, leading initiatives and incorporating stakeholder input into project decisions.
· Source and train champions for Social Value including wellbeing, and charity initiatives.
Communication and Influence
· Promote the value of Social Value initiatives to colleagues and encourage participation.
· Liaise with external delivery partners to maintain and develop Social Value programmes.
· Collaborate with the Group Head of Social Value and colleagues to share best practice and identify opportunities for joint working.
Requirements
Knowledge
· Understanding of Social Value within Wates Group.
· Awareness of Social Value drivers, policies, and delivery mechanisms.
Qualifications (Desirable)
· Degree in Social Value, Sustainability, Community Development, Youth Work, or Urban Regeneration.
Skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Engaging presentation and excellent project management abilities.
· Ability to build lasting relationships and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
