🏗️ Site Manager Opportunity
Wates has an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team within Planned Works, based out of our Crawley office. You’ll be working on one of our existing social housing contracts, helping us deliver high-quality projects that make a real difference. 💼🏡
🌱 Project Focus: Net Zero Carbon Retrofit
This role centres around achieving Net Zero Carbon Retrofit on properties in the Crawley area. Ideally, we’re looking for candidates with experience in retrofit projects, but if you’re a motivated Supervisor ready to step up, we’d love to hear from you too!
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- 📅 Programme Management: Input into and manage short-term programming of works.
- 👷♂️ Team Leadership: Oversee operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain quality and safety standards.
- 📝 Site Inspections: Attend pre- and post-inspections, advise on job requirements, and assist with design solutions.
- 📊 Reporting: Produce weekly site progress reports and submit them electronically to the Project Manager.
- 💼 Project Handover: Ensure completed job packs and details are submitted for swift invoicing and cash flow management.
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 🚗 Full UK Driving Licence required.
- 🧠 SMSTS certification is essential.
- 🏘️ Experience in social housing projects and ideally retrofit works.
- 💪 Strong leadership and communication skills.
- 💻 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- ⏱️ Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
