WPS is seeking an experienced Contract Supervisor with a strong Repairs & Maintenance background to join our dynamic team in Hammersmith. 🔧 About the Role

As a Contract Supervisor, you’ll support the Project Lead and take responsibility for managing a multi‑skilled team of 10–12 engineers as well as a framework of subcontractors. You’ll oversee service delivery across Voids, Disrepair, Day-to-Day Repairs, and Planned Works, ensuring consistently high standards and excellent customer satisfaction.

You’ll also be confident stepping up to lead the contract when required and using your trade expertise and IT proficiency to ensure smooth operational performance.

🗂️ Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and a network of subcontractors
  • Oversee daily operations and optimise workforce resources
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders and achievement of KPI targets
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and performance reviews
  • Deliver toolbox talks, team briefings, and client communications
  • Investigate customer complaints and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety requirements
  • Uphold best practice in repairs, maintenance, and planned works delivery

🎓 What We’re Looking For

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Strong background in Repairs & Maintenance operations
  • Experience managing multi‑skilled engineering teams (10–12 staff)
  • Prior site or contract supervision experience
  • Sound understanding of housing maintenance legislation and best practice
  • Commercial awareness, KPI understanding, and resource planning skills

Qualifications:

  • Trade-related qualification (preferred)
  • SMSTS or SSSTS (Health & Safety – essential)
  • Asbestos Awareness, Scaffold Inspection or equivalent certifications beneficial

Skills:

  • Confident leadership and team motivation abilities
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent IT proficiency with the ability to use reporting tools
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to engage clients and teams
