The Vacancy
WPS are looking for a skilled and reliable Joiner / Multi-Trade Operative to join our responsive maintenance team working across social housing properties in the Skelmersdale area.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Carry out joinery and multi-trade repairs in occupied and void properties
- Deliver high-quality maintenance works in line with health and safety standards
- Respond to urgent repair requests and complete scheduled tasks efficiently
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet service targets
👷 Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Joinery or relevant trade
- Proven experience in responsive maintenance within social housing
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work across multiple trades (e.g., basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering)
🌟 Desirable
- Strong customer service skills and a professional approach
- Familiarity with handheld devices and job management systems
