About the Role:
Wates Property Services is seeking a skilled and proactive Resident Engineer to join our on-site team at the prestigious Bentall Centre in Kingston upon Thames. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-profile retail and commercial environment, supporting our client JLL in delivering exceptional facilities management services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site
• Ensure all building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems, are operating efficiently
• Respond promptly to service requests and breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and visitors
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and site procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role, ideally within a commercial or retail environment
• Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider facilities team
