The Vacancy
Lead Engineer –
We have an opportunity for an experienced Lead Engineer to manage a team of Engineers by delivering excellence and first class sustainable hard M&E maintenance, projects, quoted works, coupled with process compliance and provide leadership and supervision for our client, Yorkshire Building Society based in Bradford.
Key Accountabilities will include.
- Supervision and development of multi-trade engineers delivering hard M&E services, delivering compliance and adherence to the Wates Operating Framework. Supporting with the management and delivery of Extra Works and M&E/Fabric Projects. Working with the Resource Scheduler to ensure efficient use of resource and management of reactive and quoted works
- Working supervisor covering for engineers’ holidays on the resident sites and recovery of time through costed supervision, second man works and permit issuing seeking to self-deliver service lines where possible
- Implementation of the Operating Framework across all sites ensuring daily compliance with regular auditing to monitor and continually drive standards. Drive and support our Zero Harm culture, supporting and developing H&S behaviours
We are looking for you to be skilled in delivering high quality hard M&E services in a customer focused environment. You will have an Electrical bias with a sound building services knowledge and hold the relevant up to date qualifications. You will have successfully managed multiple projects and priorities and be hands on at times with regards to day-to-day maintenance and office issues. IOSH or NEBOSH certificate and additional health and safety training would be desirable.
To be successful in the role you will have managed sub-contractors and suppliers, be able to produce extra works quotations, generate engineering reports and always deliver a high standard of work. As well as being organised and flexible, you will also be excellent at building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
