The Vacancy
Job Purpose:
We’re looking for an Insights Analyst to help us shape a fairer, more inclusive, and engaging employee experience through smart use of people data. This role will turn complex workforce, inclusion and engagement data into actionable insight, informing how we attract, retain, and develop our people across the Group. You’ll partner with HR teams and business leaders to embed insight at the heart of our decision-making, and support our commitments to inclusion, belonging and thriving people.
Key Responsibilities
Insight generation & analysis
- Lead analysis of I&D, employee engagement, wellbeing, and other people-related datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Translate raw data into meaningful insight and compelling narratives tailored to different stakeholders (e.g., Exec, HRDs, managers).
- Monitor external benchmarks (e.g., gender and ethnicity pay gaps, industry inclusion scores) and highlight areas for progress or advantage.
- Work with survey and platform providers (e.g., Inpulse) to design and refine data collection and reporting approaches.
Reporting & visualisation
- Produce high-quality dashboards, reports, and visualisations that bring people data to life and support key projects or business reviews.
- Support quarterly or annual cycles such as quarterly business review, annual I&D reporting, board reporting, programme effectiveness metrics.
- Ensure data is presented in a way that drives action and accountability.
Collaboration & influence
- Partner with HR business partners and the I&D team to understand insight needs and shape interventions.
- Present complex information in a clear and compelling way, tailoring outputs for different audiences (exec, operational leaders, employee networks).
- Act as a data-informed challenger and thought partner helping teams look beyond descriptive stats to root causes and impact.
- Build data literacy and confidence in others through clear communication and collaborative working.
Data integrity & governance
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency across sources (e.g., HRIS, survey platforms, demographic data).
- Identify and recommend improvements to our data sources, systems, and analysis methods to deepen insight capability.
- Apply ethical, responsible approaches to handling sensitive people data, aligned with our privacy and inclusion commitments.
Skills & Experience required
- Proven experience in a people analytics, insights, or data analyst role, ideally within HR, I&D, or employee engagement context.
- Strong capability in data manipulation, analysis and visualisation using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data; able to draw out stories that influence action.
- Knowledge of inclusion, employee experience, or organisational development is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor outputs for technical and non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail, strong critical thinking, and a proactive mindset.
What You’ll Bring
- A passion for inclusion, fairness, and improving the world of work.
- Curiosity and rigour, always asking “what’s really going on?” and “how can we improve?”
- Confidence in handling ambiguity and evolving datasets.
- A collaborative style. You enjoy making others more insight-led, not just delivering reports.
