The Vacancy
Roofers Mate – Brixton
Wates has an opportunity for a Roofers Mate to join our team within the Responsive Maintenance division. You will be based out of our Brixton location, supporting our social housing contract by assisting with reactive roofing maintenance for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist roofers with repair and renewal works on various roofing systems
- Carry and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for daily tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Support the team in ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Follow Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in roofing is essential
- A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on roofing experience looking to develop their skills further in a supportive environment.
