Please note in this position you will be supporting projects across the Northern region so must be able to travel accordingly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Senior Structural Engineers are a valuable part of our business, the focus of this role will be to technically review permanent works designs and provide in-house temporary works design and site support and to represent and promote the Group’s engineering and technical expertise

As our Senior Structural Engineer you will:

  • Provide Technical reviews of projects at tender stage providing a report of risks and opportunities.

  • Liaise with the work winning and Design Management team to direct and develop optimum solutions that are to be delivered by others. 

  • Providing In-House Temporary Works solutions for projects at tender stage and live sites. 

  • Provide alternative and innovative design options for both permanent and temporary works where required. 

  • Deliver training, support and guidance to our site based Temporary works coordinators and other site staff where required. 

  • Represent Wates engineering externally and grow and maintain relationships with our preferred consultants and supply chain.
