Built-in sensors continuously monitor factors including temperature, humidity, air quality, light levels, sound and calculated CO₂, helping users identify conditions that could contribute to issues such as damp, poor ventilation and mould.
The system gathers up to 30,000 data points per second using advanced sensing technologies, including Doppler radar and environmental monitoring sensors. Historical trends can be viewed through the accompanying app, providing a comprehensive understanding of home conditions and offering greater peace of mind for homeowners and residents.
Tap also integrates with smart meter data and variable energy tariffs, including direct integration with Octopus Energy as a “Works With” partner. This allows users to understand when energy is being consumed and identify opportunities to optimise electricity use, helping reduce energy bills and encourage more efficient energy habits.
As a Google AI Accelerator company, Tewke is trialling Google Gemini within the Tap platform to support future intelligent automation. The long-term goal is to help households automatically optimise the operation of high-energy appliances, ensuring homes remain healthy while minimising energy costs.
