ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Principal Façade Managers are a valuable part of our business, bringing specialist expertise to the design, procurement and delivery of façade packages; increasing our margin by helping the Business Unit and project manage risk and opportunity on the façade packages.

The role will be based within the Construction business but will be expected to provide support and assistance outside the Construction unit to other operational business units.

As our Principal Façade Manager, you will:

  • Ensure all main contracts or sub contracts comply with current legislation, regulation and Group policy.
  • Ensure that the façade function within the business unit effectively supports the operation team in the implementation of our SHE policies.
  • Work on key projects to ensure that we maximise value and determine a strategy for how we can intelligently make money out of the façade packages.
  • Provide support to the site teams to enable them to manage the performance of their façade suppliers/manufacturers and installers through project delivery stages and through to package completion (including testing and commissioning)
  • Contribute to the development of business unit and Group wide strategies for facades covering design, procurement/supply chain, operational delivery and future directions for the business to consider and develop with respect to façade works.
  • Monitor the supply chain’s performance for Wates and their performance within the wider market. Identify any issues that may impact their performance for Wates.
