Andy leaves the business having successfully completed the restructuring of the SES business, having implemented an on-going focused growth strategy and driven a successful change programme to drive efficiency and profitability right across the business. Andy has decided to seek a new challenge and pursue the next stage of his career outside of the Wates Group.
The internal appointment of Jason Knights, who joined the Wates Group in 2010, reflects his instrumental role in establishing and growing its successful internal M&E business, Wates Building Services. Jason will now drive SES Engineering Services’ growth strategy based on the on-going success of its industry-leading in-house design and engineering department.
As part of his new role at SES, the UK’s first M&E specialist to achieve BRE BIM Level 2 accreditation, Jason will also oversee the continued development of SES’ pioneering Prism offsite manufacturing business.
I am pleased that we have been able to appoint an internal successor of Jason’s calibre to this critical role. I look forward to working closely with Jason and his leadership team on the next phase of the exciting growth plan for SES.”
Construction Group Managing Director, Paul Chandler
Since being acquired by Wates Group in 2015, SES’ expert technical and project teams have succeeded in significantly growing the company’s comprehensive portfolio of high-profile and critical UK projects.
This includes the Queensferry Crossing near Edinburgh, Scotland’s largest infrastructure investment in a generation and the £300m Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre, a purpose-built, state- of-the-art clinical facility for the Armed Forces at Stanford Hall near Loughborough.
The company, which continues to burgeon its reputation for delivering innovative, cost and time saving offsite manufacturing solutions on logistically challenging city-centre projects, is currently delivering its sixth M&E project at the heart of the major King’s Cross regeneration, the largest piece of central London to be developed under a single ownership in the past 150 years.
