Zero carbon future
We are experts in zero carbon retrofitting for social housing, guiding our customers every step of the way. Through our net zero carbon retrofit service, Wates Retrofit, we’re working with housing providers to install energy saving measures to homes. This service helps to cut fuel poverty and reduce energy costs.
We have completed retrofit enhancements at over 3,000 homes so far, supporting residents through these essential works, and driving sizable reductions in their fuel bills.

Beginning in April 2013 this 15-year contract involves the delivery of a programme of full maintenance works across Wolverhampton’s stock of approximately 7,000 homes.

FRA Supervisor

We have an opportunity for a FRA Supervisor to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Enfield office on one of our social housing contracts, delivering reactive maintenance to our residents.Key Accountabilities will include: Ensure high quality service is provided with the management of the work scheduling in accordance with company procedures, standards and SLAs Represent Wates at client and resident performance meetings as requested by the Operations Manager Manage the responsive repairs function to ensure consistent performance against targets Effective and efficient management of material costs and ensure that all are following correct processes and procedures Monitor quality of work through inspection, inspection reports, analysis of key performance indicators and analysis of customer satisfaction surveys. Lead, manage and contribute to the development of your team and determine optimum employment levels to comply with the provision of the serviceYou must have a full UK driving licence.To be successful in the role you must also be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multi task and work to tight deadlines. Prior responsive maintenance experience is crucial to the role. You must also have your SSSTS qualification as a minimum.

Our leading position within the maintenance sector has enabled the business to realise ambitious strategic growth.Key Accountabilities will include: Produce commercial reports both internally and external to the company Ensure the timely receipt of quotations for materials, equipment and Sub-subcontract works, undertake commercial assessment of quotes received and ensure the timely placement of orders on commercially advantageous terms to facilitate project delivery and ensure business objectives are met. Regularly complete on site measurements/ take offs Ensure all contractual processes are completed on timeWe are looking for a good work ethic and the ability to work under a Project Surveyor and within a team of Surveyors of different levels of knowledge.To be successful in the role you will be able to liaise with Client and have the personal skills to create effective relationships with the team.
