Wates Construction has completed a design and build and environmental improvement project for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service that remediates a former glass manufacturing site and former coal colliery into a community fire station for St Helens in Merseyside.

The £36m, 33-storey development, comprising 217 luxury apartments, topped with a two-storey crown structure containing loft-style penthouses, is now Birmingham’s tallest residential building.
