Wates Living Space has been appointed to deliver 15 years of planned maintenance works for Wolverhampton Homes, which manages over 23,000 properties on behalf of Wolverhampton City Council, as part of a programme worth £104m.

Most properties are occupied and careful liaison with residents is managed by our professional Resident Liaison Officers who make sure that disruption is kept to a minimum and residents experience first-class customer service.

18 long-term unemployed apprentices trained from the local area

Our Programme of Works

Wates Living Space is delivering £16.5m of works during this period and £11m of planned improvements each year for the next 13 years. Works include energy efficiency and void refurbishment, upgrading kitchens and bathrooms, environmental and structural improvements, property re-modelling, roofing and high-rise internal and external refurbishment.

Wates has played a key role in transforming the homes and lives of thousands of tenants across the city. We’re looking forward to the future with Wates, continuing to improve tenants’ homes, providing opportunities for local apprentices and making a positive impact in communities where we operate.

The outcome

Wates Living Space has partnered with the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) to develop an accreditation course for its SME supply chain partners, making them the world’s first TPAS-accredited subcontractors working in residents’ homes across the city
