Valuing our client
The school’s design was based on Adapt, which delivered client benefits in design and reduced procurement costs, whilst providing flexibility for each school in the programme. We were able to create resource efficiencies, offering discounts on our framework rates against design fees, overheads and profit, contingency and ultimately better value for the client.
The new primary school was built in 2 phases with the new school being built adjacent to the existing school on site which continued to be fully operational throughout, followed by the demolition of the old school and external landscaping works once staff and children had moved into their new building.
The new two-storey, three-form entry, 630-place primary school also includes a 39-place nursery. The external works include hard play areas, soft landscape and a car park to the south of the site.
