Laleham Gap School - Wates Construction Case Study

Laleham Gap Ramsgate

Ellis Williams Architects

Construction of a new two-storey SEN school in Ramsgate, Kent for 169 pupils. Part of the ESFA Priority School Building Programme (PSBP) East 1 Batch of schools, built to a constrained budget and programme.

To maintain the programme, we worked with Ellis William Architects to develop a design using an off-site structural insulated timber panel solution for the residential block, which also generated a budget savings of £60k.

Works also included the construction of a three-storey on-site residential building for 30 pupils and six staff, separate car parks, playing fields and MUGA areas.
