Overview

As part of our work with CEG & Leeds City Council, we held a week long skills course for job seekers at Forging Futures Campus, Kirkstall Forge, Leeds

The course covered Trade Taster Sessions in Plumbing & Joinery, Health & Safety and CSCS Testing

In addition, Employability skills sessions were provided, enabling all the candidates to practice their interview technique with representatives from Wates and its supply chain partners including: Fortifire, ABCA Systems, Peter Duffys, Michael Page Recruitment and O’Neill & Brennan Recruitment.

  • 10 Job Seekers
  • 70 Subsequent interviews with local employers and agencies

“It’s been a real pleasure to work alongside the team, they are a Fantastic group of people and I wish them every success. Thank you to all our supply chain partners for their interview skills. It makes such a difference to the candidates to sit in front of someone Who can potentially get them a job & for them to receive expert Feedback on ways in which they can improve. I thought the difference From the start to the finish was remarkable. At the start, they were Nervous & tentative but towards the end they were chomping at the bit To get in front of another interviewer to improve their techniques.”
