Celebrating our NHS heroes together

As the NHS marks its 72nd birthday, Wates joins the national commemoration; we are proud to be a signatory to the /Together campaign, which aims to harness and build on the renewed sense of community spirit which we have seen over the past months.

David Allen, Chief Executive of the Wates Group, personally thanks the NHS and key workers across the country for looking after the health and safety of our people.

“Wates is proud to be supporting the /Together campaign, which this weekend celebrates the contribution the NHS and the many thousands of other key workers  – have made during the coronavirus crisis.

“Together aims to harness the renewed sense of community spirit we’ve seen over the past months.  It’s an ambition that also sits at the heart of the purpose, goals and behaviours that guide everything we do at Wates.  Our team is committed to demonstrating that we care, we are fair and we look for better way behaviours that are epitomised by the fantastic staff of the NHS.

“Wates has been honoured to be able to help the NHS during the pandemic through our work at both the Royal London Hospital and at the Nightingale Hospital North East in Sunderland.

“And this Sunday, I, along with millions of others, will be thanking the NHS, not only for what it has done for the country, but for the times it has cared for me, my family and the people we love.”
