We care passionately about safety and wellbeing and our ambition is that every employee feels that Wates is the best company they have ever worked for. Our annual employee survey shows that our people are very proud to work for Wates which is a fact we never take for granted.

We invest deeply in our people, providing support from on-the-job training, technical and interpersonal skills training, through to leadership development courses and professional development paths. Every year we provide, on average, five days of training per employee. We are currently supporting 10% of our people through professional development programmes and our structured leadership strategy ensures we develop potential and existing leaders
